Freddie Patton

Larry “Freddie” Fred Patton, 74, of Monett was called home to Heaven on Friday June 18, 2021 while at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He was born in Monett, Missouri on July 31, 1946; the son of the late Cecil and Robbie (Weiss) Patton. 

He was united in marriage on May 18, 1984 in Miami, Oklahoma to Trish Wilson-Batson; she survives.

He was a retired machinist, a member of the Monett Jaycees, was active in helping with the Monett Sportsmen League and was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Vietnam War where he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device 1960; 1 Overseas Bar; Combat Infantryman’s Badge (1st Award); Sharpshooter (Pistol .45Cal); Marksman (Rifle M-16); and Expert (Rifle M-14).








Freddie is survived by his wife Trish of Monett; one daughter: Kristen Conway of Fair Grove, Missouri; three sons: Marcus Patton of Carl Junction, Missouri, Jereme Batson of Springdale, Arkansas, and Matthew Batson of Monett, Missouri; two brothers: George Patton and Mike Patton both of Monett, Missouri; two sisters: Beverly Wiseman and Sally Daughertery both of Monett, Missouri; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Cecil and Robbie; one brother: Robert Patton and two sisters: Shirley Robberson and Jeanie McCaffery.

Visitation for Freddie is being held on Wednesday June 23, 2021 from 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Graveside services with Military Honors are being held on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at 3:00p.m. at the Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett, Missouri.
