(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Judith McCann Morris, age 69, passed away suddenly Monday morning, June 14, 2021 at her home.
Judy was born July 20, 1952 in Joplin, MO. Her parents were Darrel and Nadine (Stone) McCann. She was a lifetime resident of Galena.
She graduated from Galena High School with the class of 1970. As a young girl, she enjoyed attending tap and dance school and later operated her own dance studio. She also competed in barrel racing competitions in area rodeos. Judy was active in Joplin Little Theater for several years. In the 1990’s she worked at Celltron in Galena.
Surviving are two sons, Darrell Ray Ryan, and Gabriel Carson Morris, both of Galena. One brother Jim McCann, Riverton, KS; one sister, Jacquelyn Griffis, Joplin, MO; and two grandchildren, Hannah Nadine Ryan and Gracy Mae Ryan, both of Galena.
She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
