Dennis Veach

Dennis Ray Veach was born in Branson, MO on October 15, 1950, and passed away on June 17, 2021, at the age of 70. 

Chief Veach began his career with the Sachse Police Department in December 2007 and served the residents of Sachse until he retired in February 2015. 

Before joining the Sachse Police Department, Chief Veach served as the Chief of Police for the Carthage Police Department in Carthage, Missouri for from 1998 through 2007. 

Before becoming the chief for the Carthage Police Department, Chief Veach worked for the Columbia Police Department from 1976 until 1998, where he retired as the Deputy Chief of Police.

 Chief Veach began his career with the Adair County Sheriff's Office in 1973, where he served as a Deputy Sheriff until joining the Columbia Police Department. Chief Veach had had over 42 years of law enforcement experience.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 21, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. followed by a 4:00 p.m. funeral service at Charles W. Smith and Sons Sachse Chapel, 2925 5th St., Sachse, Texas 75048. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City, Missouri.
