(From Lockwood Funeral Chapel)Robert V. “Bob” Cory, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Sunday, July 11, 2021, in the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility at the age of 80.
He was born on January 10, 1941 in Petoskey, MI to Milton and Marion (Amstutz) Cory.
Bob was united in marriage to Netta B. Marshall on November 28, 1973 in Camp Pendleton, CA. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Bob worked as a Medical Technician. He was a member of the Lockwood First Baptist Church, the Naval Reservice, the Lockwood American Legion, and the Lamar VFW.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Milton and Marion Cory; his sister, Shirley (Cory) Assenbauer; and one nephew, Brian Assenbauer.
Survivors include his wife, Netta Cory; six children, Duayne Cory and wife Susan, Michelle Cory, Fran Smith and husband Mark, Daniel Cory and wife Rhonda, Susiette (Cory) Boswell and husband Andrew, and Paul Cory Lupton and wife Donna; eleven grandchildren, Haley Harrison, Jorgia Cory, Luke Cory, Earl Cory, Cassandra Cory, Calieb Cory, Devon Smith, Phillip Smith, Devon Lupton, Dylan Lupton, and Addison Lupton; one nephew, Mike Assenbauer; and one niece, Julie (Assenbauer) Huss and husband David.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the Lockwood First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery in Jerico Springs, MO. The family will receive friends on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood First Baptist Church or to the American Legion. Services are under the care of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
