(From Bland-Brumback Funeral Home)Farrel N. Montgomery, age 95, died January 3, 2023 and went to his heavenly home. He was born November 28,1927 to Normal and Alma Montgomery. Farrel was raised in the Dade County area and attended school in Greenfield.
He married Carol Hastings Montgomery May 28, 1954, and they made their home in Stockton. Farrel was a member of the Stockton United Methodist Church.
Farrel was a quiet man and easy going. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, & trapping in his younger years. He liked to tinker and build many birdhouses. Farrel came from a musical family and he played the fiddle and played for many music parties and square dances. Farrel worked for the Highway Department, the Stockton Cheese Plant, Cain Hill Lumber Yard, and retired from Mid AM in ElDorado Springs.
Farrel was an avid sports fan especially the St Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs also the Missouri State Lady Bears Basketball.

Farrel was proceeded in death by his wife Carol, his parents Normal & Alma Montgomery, sister Opal Lee Grisham. Nieces Jana Farmer & Stephani Grisham, brother-in-law Truman Farmer and nephew Gary Reynolds. Son- in- law Stewart Thomson.
He is survived by daughter Angela Thomson and son Kevin Montgomery granddaughter Lyndsay Funke & Husband Jason, grandsons Austin Montgomery & wife Bailey, Colten Montgomery & wife Kona, great granddaughter Zoe Funke and great grandson Lincoln Montgomery.
