(From Clark Funeral Home)Leland Dwight Flory Sr., passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and lifelong friendships.
Born on December 12, 1945, to Airld and Viola Flory, in Vancouver, WA. Leland moved to the Rocky Comfort area at the age of 10, embracing Southwest Missouri as his lifelong home.
His vibrant spirit and love for his community made him an integral part of the area. Leland proudly served in the Navy for four years during the Vietnam era, highlighting his selflessness. He cherished spending time with friends, regaling them with his captivating storytelling, and proudly served as an active member of the VFW 4142, contributing to the welfare of his fellow veterans.
Leland was the owner and operator of Flory and Sons trucking company; his work ethic was evident in the way he ran his business, leaving a legacy for his sons. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his family.
He is survived by his sons, Lee Flory Jr. and his wife Paula, and David Flory and his significant other Keisha all of Granby, MO., along with their twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He leaves behind cherished memories for his siblings, Ila Wise, Verna Manar, Carter Flory, and their families, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
Leland is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Flory. Leland's life will be remembered for his boundless energy, generosity, and the countless stories he shared that brought joy to those around him. No services are scheduled at this time.
