Jeannette Lehman

Jeannette Lehman, age 92, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at home with her family.

Jeannette was born October 14, 1931 in Chillicothe, TX. She was one of seven children born to the late Ollie and Claude Jeanes. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1949. She attended several colleges including Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary from 1955 - 1961.

Jeannette was a preacher’s wife while raising her 4 children and loved to host church activities. She was a church pianist and organist for many years. She also loved to sing, clog, square dance and was in a band with her mother Claude. 








In 1970 she earned her BS degree in Psychology at Kansas State in Pittsburg, KS. She worked most of her life in accounting with several companies including Crockett Oil in Welch, OK. She got her pilot’s license in 1979. At one point Jeannette was a nighttime DJ. Her radio name was Jeannie Hart and she was a Ham Radio Operator. She got her Masters Degree in Metaphysics in 2017. She spent countless hours working on family history, and has written three books, two of which have been published. She is currently a member of the Unity Church of Joplin.

In addition to her parents and five siblings, Jeannette was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Wayne Hartline, Sr. and her first husband, Rev. Ray Hartline, Sr.

Survivors include her son, Ray Hartline, Jr. and wife Ann of Point, TX, daughters, Gail Montez, and Denise England and husband John all of Joplin; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Sonny Jeanes and wife Kathleen of Leonard, TX; nine nieces and nephews.






 

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Debbie Allen officiating.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Cremation will follow the service and private family committal of her ashes will take place at a later date.
