Donna Boyd

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Marie Boyd (Martin) of Joplin, who left us too soon on January 2, 2024, at the age of 54. 

Born on July 1, 1969, in Osage, Iowa, Donna was a charismatic and funny soul who spent her life spreading joy and laughter to all who knew her. She was a beacon of light in every room she entered, her infectious laughter leaving a lasting imprint on our hearts.







Donna was a loving mother to her two sons, Dalton and Hunter, who were her entire world. In her eyes, they could do no wrong, and she devoted her life to their happiness and well-being. Donna also had an incredible love for animals, particularly dogs and cats. She was a proud cat mom to several furry friends throughout her lifetime. 

A woman of many talents, Donna worked in the consumer banking industry, serving as a telephone salesperson. She had a knack for making even the most mundane conversations enjoyable and was well-loved by her colleagues. In her free time, she enjoyed watching movies and traveling to new places.

Donna is survived by her sons, Dalton Judd and Hunter Boyd; her mother, Sandra Martin; husband, Michael Boyd; her siblings, Dennis Martin, Debbie (Darren) Lindsey, Douglas (Sharon) Martin, and Diane (John) Rainey; along with numerous nieces and nephews and several other family members. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Jr. 








Her family will remember her as a beacon of strength, resilience, and unyielding love. Her spirit will continue to live on through her loved ones, and her memory will forever be etched in their hearts.

A visitation for Donna will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 5-6PM at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 1 PM at the same location with Chaplain Kyle Beverlin officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Services are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home.
