Christine Susan King, age 66, of Carl Junction, Mo., passed away on Thursday August 2, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, following an illness.
Christine was born on December 13, 1951 in San Jose, Ca., the daughter of the late George and Tascile (Titus) King. She graduated from Memorial High School a member of the ‘class of 1970’. From 1970 to 1972, she attended Ozark Christian College. She received her RN from Crowder College. She worked as an RN for many years, working for Oak Hill Hospital, St. John’s Hospital, and Freeman Hospital. She was a longtime member of Park Plaza Christian Church.
She married Eric Nickerson on November 22, 2007. He preceded her in death in December of 2014. She is survived by two sisters, Carole King, Joplin, and Tamera Murphy and husband LaVaine, Webb City, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews, Ethan Liston, Elias Lawliet, Erika Liston, Josiah Liston, Isaac Murphy, Vanessa Murphy, Tobiah Murphy, Micala Murphy, and Mariah Murphy; and two great-nieces, Winry Woods and Florence Liston.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Park Plaza Christian Church. B.A. Austin, Minister will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Christine S. King Memorial Fund.
