David Bruce Cook, age 64, Joplin, passed away at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his home.
David was born July 13, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Larry Cook and Mable Smith Cook.
He worked in the medical field as an LPN for most of his working life and was a veteran of the United States Navy. David was an avid baseball card collector and was known for his sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He married Nicky Tune on October 21, 2005 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Phillip Cook and wife, Marny, Ozark, Missouri, Michelle Crawford-Stiff and husband, Bob, Branson, Missouri, Synthia Hayes and husband, Robert, Kimberling City, Rocky Eckhardt and significant other, Shawna, Joplin, Melissa Stephens and husband, Blake, West Plains, Brandon Eckhardt, Seattle, Washington, Lori Stebbins and husband, Justin, Joplin; two brothers, Roger Cook and wife, Sherri, Forsyth, Lee Cook and wife, Deborah, Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Taylor Sanchez, Stephen Crawford, Lauryn Stiff, Elijah Cook, Payton Stiff, Emma Eckhardt, Rachel Eckhardt, Silas Stephens, Chloe Stephens, Leah Stephens, Connor Jones, Coleson Stebbins, Ellie Stebbins; two great grandchildren, Urijah Lee and Kaia Lee; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and two fur babies, Pretty Girl and Jax.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
