Jeffrey A. Misner, age 56, of Joplin, Mo. passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 following a battle with cancer. Jeff was born May 29, 1962 in Joplin to Charles and Carol (Burk) and was a lifetime area resident. He was employed as a truck driver with U.S.F. Holland. He was also a member of Teamsters 823. He was an avid Royals fan that regularly attended games with his family and friends. Jeff loved his family and his grandkids were his world. His dog Slugger never left his aide.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Tracy (Black) Misner; one daughter, Amy Shaffer and husband, Tyler of Neosho, Mo.; two sons, Drew Misner of Joplin, Mo., Travis J. Griffin and spouse Jeff Terry of Jefferson City, Mo.; his parents Charles and Carol Misner of Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Kim Hounschell and husband, Jim of Joplin, Mo.; one brother Kevin Misner and wife, Debbie of Joplin, Mo.; four grandchildren, Lexie, Jamison, Kelton and Lilly; and two nephews, Corey and Christopher.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at Community Chapel Church with Pastor Jeff Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 6-7:00 p.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will be in the Carterville Cemetery Carterville, Mo. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory of Joplin, Mo.
