Ralph E. “Gene” Conduff, 73, Carthage, MO, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 1, 2018 at his home with family by his side. Ralph Eugene “Gene” Conduff was born September 21, 1944 in Dixon, CA to the late Joseph Ralph Conduff and Sarah (Hayre) Conduff. He graduated from Quincy High School, Class of 1963. Gene married Shirley Ann Joines on October 29, 1983 in Carthage, MO; she survives. He worked as a truck driver for D&D Sexton for 21 years. Gene attended the First Baptist Church in Carthage.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, one daughter, Julie Lynn Tucker (Roland), Webb City, MO; five sons, Jeffrey Eugene Conduff, Sacramento, CA, Craig Alan Conduff, Rocklin, CA, Corey John Conduff, Sacramento, CA, Kevin Michael Wolsey, Carthage, MO, and Brian Douglas Wolsey, Carthage, MO; three sisters, Ada Caroll, Spokane, WA, Nadine Waltrip, Roseville, CA, and Shirley Hamilton, St. Marys, WV; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Patricia Evelyn.
Visitation will be held 3-4 pm, Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held 10 am, Monday, August 6, 2018 at Knell Mortuary. Pastor Clint Silvertooth will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Knell Mortuary.
