Darlene Jordan

Darlene G. Jordan, age 88, formerly of Joplin, passed away on Saturday September 1, 2018, at Kansas City Hospice House, following an illness.

Darlene was born on November 21, 1929 in Wilmont, Ks., the daughter of the late Arthur and Jennetta (Hoefgen) Groom. She has lived in Kansas City with her daughter the past seven years. She married Ray Gene Osborn and together they had two children. She was a homemaker and occasionally worked outside of the home. She loved music and singing with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening and caning.

She married Robert C. Jordan in 1974. Together they enjoyed traveling in their motor home. He preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald G. Groom; and one sister, Lois Faye Collier.

Darlene is survived by one son, Danny Osborn and wife Linda, Ponca City, Ok.; one daughter, Glenna Hataway and husband Gary, Raymore, Mo.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mason-Woodard, Prior to the service.

Contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House in care of the Mortuary.
