David Crappel

David Roy Crappel, Sr., age 58, of Sarcoxie, MO passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO.

David entered this life on January 5, 1960 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of the late Aubrey and Nina (Smith) Crappel. He was employed for several years in paint sales with Devo Paint and later with Tyson Foods in Monett, MO. The majority of his life he lived in Louisiana and later moved to Sarcoxie, MO. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Steven Crappel, sisters, Mary J. Redmond and Sharon L. Miller.

David is survived by his children, David Roy Crappel, Jr. (Lauren), Ashley Marie Crappel (Justin Cloud), all of Marrero, Louisiana; grandchildren, Sophia, Kenzlee and David,III.; sister, Brenda Crappel, of Sarcoxie; step siblings, Donald Winstead, Lawrence Winstead (Debbie) and Michelle Thompson (Ricki); several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, MO with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.housh-goodwinfuneralhome.com.
