Jason Baker

Jason Ray Baker, age 53, Carl Junction, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

Jason was born March 11, 1966 in Joplin to Steve and Darlene Baker and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.

Jason graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1984, attended Missouri Southern State University and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carl Junction. He was a driver for Joplin Tobacco Company and Freightliners for several years. Jason enjoyed the outdoors and could be found fishing any chance he had. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.








Survivors include his parents, Steve and Darlene; his sister, Paddi Eppard and husband, Wes, Carl Junction; nephew and niece, Kyle Eppard and wife, Millie, Kayce Barnum and husband, Kyle; grand nephews and niece, Atom, Easton and Emerson; and many other extended family members.

Graveside services are planned for Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Carl Junction Cemetery. Rev. Jeremiah Nichols will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carl Junction First Baptist Church, in care of Parker Mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
