Juanita Berneice Embrey was born near Stark City, Missouri on August 7, 1919, to Fred and Myrtle Powers. She entered into rest on June 30, 2019 to be with her Lord and loved ones that have gone on before her at the age of 99.
She graduated from Fairview High School and resided in the Stark City area before moving to Neosho. She was employed at Sale Memorial Hospital for 16 years. She taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Neosho prior to moving to New Orleans.
Berneice and Gene G. Embrey were married in Granby, Missouri and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1999.
She leaves two daughters, Margaret Hale of New Orleans, Louisiana and Karen Sue Hostetler of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Bill and son in law, Robert Hale.
