Nancy Willkomm

Nancy Kay Parker-Willkomm, age 66, Joplin, passed away at 9:46 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Mercy Hospital.

Nancy was born December 29, 1952 in Joplin to the late Frank Rowden and Lois Evelyn Wommack Rowden and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life.

Nancy grew up in Treece, Kansas and attended school in Columbus, Kansas. She atttended nursing school in Miami, Oklahoma and worked as an R.N. in the Orthopedic Surgery department at Freeman Hospital, retiring in December of 2017 after forty years of service. She was an auto racing fan all her life. Nancy will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; two sons, Adam Parker, Joplin, Alex Parker, Oronogo; a stepson, Jimmy Willkomm and his wife, Rebecca and their daughter, Stella; two sisters, Janice Emily, South Fulton, Tennessee, Linda Penrod and husband, Don, Pryor, Oklahoma. Nancy is also survived by an aunt, Nadine Rowden, Miami, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.








In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Stock; a great nephew, Jacob Sullivan and a special cousin, June North.

Services are planned for Tuesday at 1:00 pm. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from Noon until service time at the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
