Ken E. Brown, age 78, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born September 19, 1941 in Foil, Missouri, the son of John and Oma Brown.
On April 7, 2012 he was united in marriage to Donna Ross, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Vincent Mauldin of El Dorado, Kansas; one daughter, Melissa Speagle of Cassville; one brother Wylie Brown and his wife Heidi of Grand Island, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Dani Yockey and her husband Chris of Cassville, Missouri and Trevor Speagle and his wife Jaimee of Anderson, Missouri and three great grandchildren, Madison Yockey, Colton Yockey and Berkley Speagle.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Wilda; six brothers and three sisters.
Ken was raised in Strahan, Iowa, where he graduated from high school and was a state star basketball player. He attended college for two years at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.
After college he enlisted in the United States Army, serving from December 10, 1963 to December 7, 1965. In 1965 he moved to Shenandoah, Iowa and worked at Earl May Seed as a Warehouse Distribution Director. After retirement he moved to Cassville to make his home. He was a member of the American Legion and Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
Services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Rick Cooper and Reverend James Stewart will conduct the services.
