Randy Buzzard

(From Parker Mortuary)

Randy Todd Buzzard, age 55, Joplin, passed away at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his home after a sudden illness.

Randy was born May 26, 1964 in Joplin to Jane Steen Buzzard and the late Leo Rudolph Buzzard and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.

Randy worked all over the United States as a cable linesman for several years. He had also worked for Joe Harding, Inc. as an installer.

Randy was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, claiming that when they made it back to the Superbowl, he would be there in person to watch it. He also referred to himself as a 'grill expert', as he enjoyed cooking for friends anytime he had the chance. Over the years, Randy had amassed quite the Coca-Cola collection. It always drew comments from those around. He was a longtime member of the Joplin Elk's Lodge #501 and the Joplin Eagles #2410. He never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.

Randy is survived by his mother, Jane Buzzard, Joplin; a daughter, Rhiannah; a son, Eli; aunts and uncles, Danny and Susan Steen, Jerry and Shirley Steen; and his beloved fur baby, Sissy.
