Violet Young

Violet Lorene Young was born September 29, 1921 in Raton, New Mexico, one of five children to John and Sarah Kipps. She entered into rest on October 7, 2019 in Neosho at the age of 98 years and 8 days.

Violet moved with her parents to Stella, Missouri in 1928 and she attended school and graduated from Stella High School. Violet loved to sew and made all of her clothes. She loved fish and was a self taught artist. 

Violet and Johnny Young were married on August 21, 1941 and they had one son, Gene. 

Violet is survived by her son, Gene Young and wife, Mitsie of Neosho; three grandchildren, Kerry Catron and husband, Kyle; Mark Young and wife, Sarah and Chad Young and wife, Stephanie; seven great grandchildren, Courtney Sill and husband, Trevor, Derrick Catron, Hillary, Jacob and Grace Young and Chloe and Sophie Young, along with many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Milton and Delbert Kipps and two sisters, Margaret Gurley and Louise Robbins.
