Delores Turner

Delores Kay Turner, age 77, Galena, Kansas, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.

Delores was born April 6, 1942 in Joplin to the late Revie Farrar and Nadine Boyd Farrar and had lived in the Galena area all of her life.

She worked for the Galena School District for thirty five years, retiring in 2007. Delores enjoyed all kinds of card games; dominoes and spending time with her family. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sheldon Turner, Sr.; a son, Robert Sheldon Turner, Jr.; and siblings, Wendell Farrar, Jimmy Farrar, Danny Farrar, Doris Cole, Donna McKeel and Vickie Prince.










Survivors include her siblings, Carlene Kienzle, Joplin, Sue Routledge, Neosho, Reva Wallace, Seneca; a grandson, Sheldon Turner; great grandchildren, Michelle Kimberly Jeffrey, Adriana Nichole Marie Turner, David Cordale Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

Services are planned for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church. Josh Branham will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Galena.

 Pallbearers will be Ron Floyd, Robert McGiven, Sheldon Turner, Robert Wallace, Tom Garrett and Mark Keinzle. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, in care of Parker Mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
