Janice Wampler

Janice Christine Wampler passed away on February 3, 2020. Janice was born on June 30, 1950 to C. Russell Wampler and Marjorie Moore Wampler in Carthage, MO. She graduated from Carthage High School in May 1968 and from MSSC in 1972. Janice loved the outdoors. She enjoyed working on the farm, riding motorcycles and woodworking.

She also loved her nieces and nephews. Aunt Janice or “Janice Bird” took her nieces and nephews back-to-school shopping, to the lake to ride jet skis, on motorcycle and 4-wheeler rides, sledding and to the Royalty Arena bull buck-outs and rodeos. She also helped all of them purchase their first vehicle. You could find her at their wrestling matches, volleyball and softball games and even a band concert or two.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Charles Wampler, niece Tracy Wampler Welch, nephew Chad Wampler and great-nephew Colston Wampler.








She is survived by her brother Gary Wampler (Judy), sister-in-law Janet Wampler, niece Amy Campbell (Chad), nephew Chet Wampler (Jennifer), niece Trisha Wampler Edmonson (Clay), niece Erin Wampler and six great nephews, eight great nieces, one great-great niece and her best friend Dot Graber.

A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Jasper County 4-H in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
