(From Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home)Billie Lee Bradley, age 94, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon. He was born October 29, 1926, in Lawrence County, Missouri, the son of Augusta and Genevieve (Yancey) Bradley.
Billie was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. After the service, he worked in the maintenance department for the Paul Mueller Company, in Springfield, Missouri, retiring after 25 plus years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
On November 19, 1949, he married Vernie Louise Parks in Sarcoxie, Missouri. She preceded him in death on April 23, 2017.
Billie is survived by two sons, Randy Bradley of Los Angeles, California and Galen Bradley and his fiancée, Mickie Turpin, of Hudson, Florida; five grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Augusta, and Genevieve, one daughter, Kela Gilliland, one son, John Bradley and two sisters, Leona Snipes and Reva Hill.
A visitation, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2021, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sarcoxie, with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Sarcoxie. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 10:00–4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
