(From Clark Funeral Home)Lisa Dawn McMurray was born December 12, 1967 in Denver, Colorado, one of sixteen children to Billie and Betty (Pope) Dean. She entered into rest on June 2, 2021 in Joplin, following a one year illness at the age of 53.
Lisa moved to Neosho seven years ago from Winona, Missouri and was a homemaker. She was a Christian and a very giving person who loved getting family together for dinners and spending time together. She enjoyed hunting, sewing and canning.
Lisa and Brad McMurray were married on November 18, 2001 in Winona, Missouri and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Jennifer Gates of Jay, Oklahoma, Jacklyn Goddard of Texas and Nekisha Garrett of Joplin; fourteen grandchildren, Jaith Gates, David Gates, Dalton Gates, Joseph Gates, Jason Rogers, Nova Fortner, Joshua Fisk, Tateanna Goddard, Wyatt Ruede, Hunter Ruede, Jadyn Ruede, Gabriel Vineyard, Nevaeh Vineyard and Kiera McMurray; eight brothers, Terry Dean, Larry (Helen) Dean, Gerald (Ellen) Dean, Harold (Vicki) Shorter, Harry Shorter, Jr., Michael (Tracy) Dean, Kiale (Ellen) Dean and Thomas (Ammanda) Garcia and three sisters, Christie Davis, Kimberly (Harold) Reese and Vivien (John) Kimbrough.
Lisa is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Danny Dean, Billie Dean and Randall Shorter and two sisters, Victoria Bloom and Tina Riley.
