(From Parker Mortuary)James Steven “Steve” Ramsey, age 68, Joplin, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at his home.
Steve was born August 19, 1952, in Richmond, Indiana, son of the late James William Ramsey and Anna Pauline (Isaacs) Ramsey. He grew up in Indiana, and graduated from Northeastern High School in Fountain City, Indiana.
He worked in sales for an insurance company, and later with the Floral business in Kansas and Texas. He moved to Abilene, Kansas in the late 1970’s, and moved to Joplin in 2015.
He is survived by his sister, Sharon Simpson (Perry) of Joplin; nieces and nephews, Scott Burns (Rachel) of Greens Fork, Indiana, Shelly Myers (Jim) of Colby, Kansas, Tony Collett (Darlene) of Elizabeth, Colorado; and Kelsey Dunn; and 10 great nieces and nephews.
No formal services are planned at this time.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
