Wesley Robbins

Mr. Wesley Franklin Robbins, 76, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life into Glory on Wednesday evening, June 9, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, after a brief illness.

Wesley began his earthly journey on June 25, 1944, near Anderson, Missouri, born to the late James William “Bill” and Lula (Divine) Robbins. He was raised in Anderson and was a 1962, graduate of Anderson High School. 









 On June 25, 1965, he was united in marriage to Thelma Barton and to this union four children were born, Cheryl, Darren, Corey and Holly. He received Salvation through Christ at age 19 and then surrendered to the ministry in 1966. He began pastoring and evangelizing at age 28 with a powerful anointing and continued ministering until the Lord called him home. He founded Robbins Construction of which his two sons, Darren Robbins and Corey Robbins still own and operate. He enjoyed fishing with his family and friends, hunting, and taking trips to Colorado in the fall.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cheryl Robbins; and two siblings, James Robbins and Colleen Thurman.

Wesley is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Thelma Robbins of the home; three children, Darren Robbins and wife, Linda, of Seneca, Missouri, Corey Robbins and wife, Dayla, of Anderson and Holly Renner and husband, Clint, also of Anderson; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Lester Robbins of Anderson; a sister, Lenora King of Joplin; as well as a host of other family and friends.

A visitation will be held where the family will receive friends on Monday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ozark Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Missouri. A going home celebration will be held on Tuesday morning, June 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Darren Robbins and Roland Keith officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Anderson. 

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Clint Renner, Grant Renner, Kaleb Robbins, Jonathon Kuharich, Hunter Kuharich and Quentin Mathis.
