Barbara McGehee

Barbara Lorene McGehee, 60, Neosho, entered into rest on August 6 after a brief illness. Barabara was born on June 12, 1961 in Neosho, MO, the daughter of Loren and Dixie (McDaniel) Haase. She grew up in Granby, MO where she graduated from East Newton High School. 

 

After graduation she began her long career in the sewing department at LA-Z BOY Midwest in Neosho. Barbara was still employed at LA-Z-BOY and had a great admiration for the sewing department and her co-workers. 

In her spare time, she enjoyed drawing and sketching and had become an accomplished artist. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren, were most important to her. Barbara and Scott McGehee were united in marriage on November 1, 2002; he survives.

Additional survivors include three children: Megan Scott and her husband Brent; Cody Spencer and his wife Samantha; and Kyle Harvel and Cassadi. Seven grand-children: Mason Ray, Kaydence Scott, Lilly Harvel, Lucas Spencer, Cole Spencer, Dexter Harvel, and Payton Williams. Her twin sister, Beverly Haase; one brother, Leslie Haase and his wife, Claudia; one sister Kathleen Clymer and her husband, Dean. Numerous nieces and nephews who were special to her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Dixie.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 10 at 10 AM at Clark Funeral Home, Granby, MO. Mark Buzzard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Granby Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5:30-7:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home, Granby. Her viewing will be Monday from 9 AM – 7 PM
