Mrs. Cherry Lynn Ferreira, 49, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Cherry entered this life on March 9, 1972, in Joplin, Missouri, born to the union of Marion and Erma (Greer) Putnam. She was a lifelong area resident and a 1992, graduate of Joplin High School. She furthered her education by attended business school at Franklin Tech.
On June 23, 2001, she was united in marriage to James Ferreira and together they have shared the last twenty years.
Cherry was a devoted homemaker throughout her life. She dearly loved her family, her puppies, gardening, grilling, fishing and all types of outdoor activities. She was a member of Tennessee Prairie Friends Church near Galena, Kansas.
Her father, Marion Wayne Putnam, preceded her in death.
Cherry is survived by her husband, James Ferreira, of the home; three daughters, Carolanne Ferreira of Park Hills, Missouri, Cheynoah Slate of Joplin and Elizabeth Ferreira also of Joplin; three grandchildren; her mother, Erma Putnam of Joplin; five siblings, Steven Putnam, James Putnam, Judy Walton, Linda Miller and Sandy Gates all of Joplin; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ferreira are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Tennessee Prairie Friends Church near Galena, Kansas with Pastor David Robinson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
