Claudie Smith

Claudie Marion Lee Smith, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Thursday, August 5, 2021, in his home at the age of 88.

He was born on November 24, 1932 in Ozark County, MO to Dewey Daniel and Myrtle Georgia (Strong) Smith. 

Claudie was united in marriage to Lois Alene Baker 1995. He owned and operated Smith Plumbing and Heating for many years in Sarcoxie. 










Claudie was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Greenfield. He was an avid hunter, and looked forward to bird hunting in Texas with his son and his brother. Claudie enjoyed bee keeping, gardening, and fishing. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Dewey and Myrtle Smith; his first wife, Violet Ada (Royster) Smith; four brothers, Arless Smith, Sampson Smith, Prentice Smith, and Everett Smith; and four sisters, Edith Smith, Sylvia Reeves, Pauline Noble, and Wilma Cook.

Survivors include his wife Alene Smith; three daughters, Debra Chrisman and husband Larry, Connie Tuggle and husband Kennith, and Marsha Patterson and husband Randy; one son, Kenneth Smith and wife Marybelle; two brothers, James Huey Smith and Dewey Smith Jr.; ten grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
