Bill Taylor

William Leslie “Bill” Taylor, 78, Webb City, Missouri, passed away at 12:05 am Wednesday morning, April 13, 2022 with his wife Jackie by his side. Bill was a brief resident at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, Missouri. A hospice house which gave Bill and his family insurmountable compassion and care.

Bill was born March 24, 1944 in Neosho, Missouri. He was the oldest son of Garland L Taylor and Charlotte (Wilson) Taylor. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1962. 









Bill was a member of the Missouri National Gaurd. He worked as a salesman in the automotive industry and with his delightful nature, Bill enjoyed working with the public in various venues throughout his life. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed a multitude of friends on the golf course and his highlight was golfing with his three younger brothers and son. He was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Bill grew up attending the First Congregational Church in Neosho, Missouri with his family.

Bill was the recipient of a double lung transplant at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Missouri in 2003. Unbeknownst to Bill at the time, he had already met his future wife. Jackie was his Respiratory Therapist before his transplant and after he came home. To the delight of their families, Bill and Jacqueline Steele were married on December 30, 2004 in Branson, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Taylor; a son, Brent Taylor (Beth); two daughters, Tyanah Brown (Destiny), and Ashley Foy; two grandchildren, Zachary Frost and Deja Triplett; two brothers, Bruce Taylor (Gakii), and Bradley Taylor; a sister, Lisa Allard (Denton); a host of nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Brian Taylor.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Knell Mortuary in Carthage, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to Evelyn’s House, Creve Coeur, Missouri, in care of Knell Mortuary. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
