(From Clark Funeral Home)LeRoy Reed, age 90, of Stark City, Missouri, passed away at 9:25 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born December 14, 1931, in Searcy County, Arkansas, the son of the late Filburn and Cleo (Moore) Reed.
He married Dolores Veronica Mabquiao in Reno, Nevada, on November 3, 1956. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2020.
LeRoy served as Chief Petty Officer Personnelman for 22 years in the U.S. Navy. After retiring in 1970, they relocated to Stark City, and he became a cattle rancher, a career that served him until his passing. LeRoy enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his three sons; John Garland Reed of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mark Russell Reed of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, and Joel Alan Reed of Stark City, Missouri; one daughter, Vicky Lynn McMenemy of the Villages, Florida; one sister, Donna Jean Brown of Florida; fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Arrangements have been conducted by the Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri. A private family service will be held at a later date.
