Wanda Darby

Wanda J. Darby, age 79, of Webb City, Mo. passed away at 1:28 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. 

Wanda was born November 15, 1942 in Carterville, Mo. and had lived in the Webb City area all her life. 

Wanda retired in 2008 as Vice-President of Operations for Webb City Bank, now Mid Missouri Bank after 34 years of service. She was a member of Christ’s Church of Oronogo and a member of the Webb City Boosters Club.








Wanda married Donald Darby September 3, 1960 in Webb City. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2017. Survivors include one son, Keith Darby and wife Debbie, Webb City, one daughter, Gina Stevens and husband Phil, Webb City, two brothers, Floyd “Pooch” Marrs, and Jerry Marrs and wife Linda, all of Joplin, Mo., one sister, Janice Campbell and husband Richard, Webb City, and four grandchildren: Garrett Gallion, Shelby Lindsey and husband Jay, Austin Darby, and Addison Darby and fiance’,Will Larson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Christ’s Church of Oronogo Student East Building with Lynn Ragsdale, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday evening at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin. 

Memorial Contributions are requested to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the Shriner’s Hospital in care of the Mortuary. Services have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
