(From Parker Mortuary)John (Jack) Joseph Fifield, 78, passed away on April 21, 2022 from an ongoing illness at Mercy hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Even though his illness made it difficult for him to breathe, he was smiling and joking minutes before his death.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Alice. He was a proud father of his daughter Anne, and his step-children; Susanne, Linda, Gail, Carol (preceded in death), Don, two grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren.
He was born April 3, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois to Bertha Sheffner and John Fifield (preceded) along with his two brothers; Eugene and Kevin (preceded.)
He later met the love of his life, Alice Broad in 1970 in Arizona. They married April 2, 1971, moved to Colorado, then bought a farm in El Dorado Springs, Missouri in 1972. He worked at 3M in Nevada, Missouri for 25 years. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying with his family and going to air shows. He enjoyed running and weightlifting until retirement when he enjoyed relaxing at home with family and bird watching.
Private services will be held with family in El Dorado Springs, Missouri at a future date.
