(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Robert G. “Bob” Davis, 91, of Carthage, Missouri passed away at his home on April 28, 2022. Bob was born on October 22, 1930 in Rushville, Nebraska to William A. Davis and Gladys V. Griffith. He was a lifetime resident of Carthage.
He worked at Fred’s Frozen Foods and at the underground for Carthage Marble, formerly known as Car-Mar. He was a member of Church of God Holiness. He served in the United States Army in 1951 and then the reserves upon returning home.
Bob was united in marriage to Wilma Moudy on June 26, 1965 in Carthage, Missouri; she survives.
He is survived by his wife Wilma Davis; two sons, Daniel Davis of Carthage, and Gary Davis (Brittany) of Duenweg, Missouri; and one daughter Donna Platko of Carthage; four grandchildren, Kyle Davis, Deonna Hawkins, Gracen and Brett Davis; and 2 great-grandchildren, Destiny and Nolan Hawkins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother in infancy.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held on Monday evening on May 2, 2022 at the Ulmer Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
