(From Parker Mortuary)Corey Lynne Daggett, age 60, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
Corey, daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Haase) Daggett, was born on December 1, 1961 in Joplin. She was a lifelong area resident and was employed most of her as a certified nursing assistant.
She was a hard worker with a strong work ethic, always putting her family’s needs above her own. She was known for not holding back her opinion with a knack for telling it like it is and always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. Her family will miss her sense of humor and her ability to cook anything from scratch. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Max Clevenger, and his wife, Kasey, of Joplin, and Augusta Clevenger, and her partner, Bruce Russell, also of Joplin; sisters, Martha Chaddock, of Webb City, and Tina Vickers, and her husband, Dave, of Joplin; brothers, Terry Daggett, and his wife, Vickie, of Webb City, and Kevin Daggett, and his wife, Cindy, of Joplin; grandchildren, Payton Clevenger, Levi Russell, and Danielle Russell; bonus grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Malachi White, and Kaytlyn Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Corey was preceded in death by four brothers, Ronnie Daggett, Lonnie Daggett, Charlie Daggett, and Jack Daggett.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin. The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 30, 2022 beginning at 3:00 PM at 7221 W. Junge Blvd, Joplin, MO 64801.
