Jack Harmon

Jack Leroy Harmon, age 69, Joplin, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

Jack was born June 25, 1952 in Joplin, MO, to the late union of Jack Harmon Sr. and Harriot (Eadis) Harmon. After High School he started MSC college for an arts degree but joined the United States Marines in 1971. He returned home after being honorably discharged that same year. He was sent home with the Good Conduct Medal. 








Jack was not one to stay still. He worked multiple jobs, which included; being a DJ, truck driver, restaurant owner, and most recently Walmart. He enjoyed cooking, traveling the country, darts, fishing, and camping. What Jack loved the most though, was riding Harley’s with his family and friends. He leaves behind his loyal companion, Maggie Mae.

In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his niece, Allie Whitmore; and brother-in-law, Skip Hoover.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Dr. Heather Sandler (Evan); one brother, Jerry Harmon (Maria); one sister, Wanda Hoover; two grandchildren, Michayla and Sean Sandler; one nephew, Will Harmon; and a host of extended family and friends.

Committal of ashes Saturday, May 7, 2022 10:00 a.m. at Hornet Cemetery with Alan McCamey officiating.

Arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
