Roger Laughlin

Roger Laughlin, age 79 of Carl Junction, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022 surrounded by all of his loved ones. He was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1942 to Earl "Shorty" and Helen Laughlin in Wichita, KS.

Roger was a 1960 graduate of Seneca High School. He married Carolyn Martin on February 14,1993 in Miami, OK. who survives him. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Carl Junction. Roger worked as a machinist for FAG Bearing, where he retired in 2005. After retiring he drove an 18 wheeler truck for Joe Preston hauling grain.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Earl "Shorty" and Helen Laughlin. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Laughlin, of Carl Junction; brothers Larry Laughlin deceased and wife Linda Laughlin; Bob and wife Carol Laughlin; daughters Cheree Selsor, Terri Carr, sons Joshua and wife Ashley Laughlin and Justin Hobbs; grandchildren Christopher and wife Katrina Selsor, Mitchell and wife Lauren Selsor, Lane Selsor, Brant Laughlin, Kynley Laughlin, Paxon Laughlin, Zackary Carr deceased, Trevor Carr, and Caleb Carr, along with 15 great grandchildren.

Roger always enjoyed coaching softball for his daughters and watching his sons and grandkids play baseball, football, & wrestling. And watching Kynley dance.

Funeral services for Roger will be held 2pm on Friday, April 15th at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
