Floyd Moore

Floyd Dale "Zeke" Moore, age 93, of Lamar, Missouri passed away April 23, 2022.

Floyd was born May 10, 1928 in Riverton, Nebraska to Mallery David Moore and Chloa Emmaline (Banks) Moore. Floyd graduated from Miller High School. 

On November 11, 1950, Floyd married Velda Jean Voorhees in Granby, Missouri.








Floyd was a dairy farmer who also raised crops, cattle and hogs. He supported the Boston United Methodist Church. He loved to hunt, especially deer and also loved to camp. Family was always the most important thing to him and he treasured those special relationships.

Survivors include one son, Floyd "Dale" Moore Jr. and his wife Debra of Oronogo, Missouri; three daughters, Susan Ball and her husband Michael of Lamar, Sandra Harris of Lamar and Jeannie Gastel and her husband James of Jasper, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, Ben Ball, Brian Ball, Brad Ball, Mathew Harris, Hether DeFratus, Stephanie Page, Angie McGuire, Jessica Vaughn, Derek Moore, Cassie Welch and Matthew Robinson along with 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Velda; his parents; three sisters, Eileen Moore, Mary Davis and Betty Boyd and two brothers, Wayne Moore and Don Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, MO.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites to begin at 5:30 p.m., before visitation.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Good Shepherd Nursing Home, the American Cancer Society or Lamar United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
