Scott Day

Kenneth “Scott” Day passed away on Tuesday April 19, 2022. He was born in Dalles Oregon on January 9, 1963, to Clara (Malory) and Kenneth Day. 

As a child he lived in Washington and on weekends his family would travel the Pacific Northwest in their RV. He loved to fish and he taught himself how to fly fish and how to make a homemade Fly Lure. When he was a child, he wanted to be a bigfoot hunter. 









His family moved back to Liberal, MO where he grew up and graduated from high school in 1982. He worked at the State Hospital in Nevada, MO, O’Sullivan Industries, and as a bus driver for Liberal Schools. 

He married Carla on October 30,1992 in Liberal, MO. Scott loved his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy and he loved spending time with them especially, playing games, Royals games and even the Monster Jam with them! He loved hunting, fishing and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a huge Star Trek fan and has passed that on to his grandsons. 

Scott is survived by his wife; daughters, Lanetta (Steve) Torres-Ferrer and Tracy (Mike) Wilkowski; son, Joey (Kendra) Olson; and grandchildren, Connor Wilkowski, Joey (Jr) Olson, Nolan Torres-Ferrer, Zoey Vankirk-Olson, and Vincent Wilkowski. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy Everman; beloved niece, Darcy (Scottie)Herman; and nephews, Dillon and Clint Everman. 

He was loved by a host of other family and friends and will be missed. 

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 11 AM at Liberal Baptist Church.
