Stan Edens

Stanley Gwyn Edens, age 85, of Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest at 4:42 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at the Oak Pointe Community in Neosho. 

He was born May 22, 1936, in Newton County, Missouri, to the late Andrew Perry and Beulah Emily (Hough) Edens. Stan was a 1954 graduate of Neosho High School. 










On October 29, 1953, he married Barbara Tatum in Granby, Missouri. Stan was the Vice President of Maintenance for Sitton Motors until his retirement. He proudly served in the Army National Guard for 15 years, was a member of the Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, and was a 50-year member of the Neosho/Granby Masonic Lodge. Stan enjoyed coin collecting, working on the farm, and was a car enthusiast; however, most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Stan will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Barbara; one son, Michael Edens and his wife, Terri Lynn; one daughter, Tammy Howland and her husband, Larry, all of Neosho; two grandchildren, Jeremy Howland and his wife, Michelle, and Tonya McKee and her husband, Ryan; and four great-grandchildren, Blake and Jaxson Harrell, and Parker and Chase Howland.

His son Douglas Edens and his brother, Ronald Edens, preceded him in death.

A funeral service under the direction of the Clark Funeral Home will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022, at the Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, with Pastor Phil Barber officiating. Burial will follow at the Diamond Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho.
