Steven Clutts

Steven Ray Clutts, age 59, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. 

He was born in La Jolla, CA on Wednesday, November 28, 1962; son of Ed and Katherine (Dalton) Clutts. He graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1980. 

Mr. Clutts married Susan Pruitt on Friday, June 26, 1987 in Joplin, MO. Mr. Clutts enjoyed fishing, hunting, and drag racing. He was very competitive in everything he did. He also loved LOUD music. 








He and Susan enjoyed traveling together and were able to see many beautiful places. He especially enjoyed going to Mexico. Each year the family made a trip to Dolphin Island together. Mr.Clutts treasured time with his grandchildren. He spent many hours at the beach and always enjoyed it. Fishing was a favorite activity there as well. He was a fan of the San Diego Chargers but really was a lover of all sports. When not traveling with his family, he was a homebody. He truly loved being with his wonderful wife, perfect daughters, and lovely grandchildren. He worked in quality control at Miracle Recreation.

Surviving are the following: his wife, Susan of Pierce City, MO; two daughters, Lacy (Cliff) Christian of Gravette, AR and Stephanie (Ken) Tidwell of Pierce City, MO; three grandchildren, Damon, Dylan, and Destiny Christian of Gravette, AR; his father, Ed Clutts of Toole, UT; two brothers-in-law, Dave (Wanda) Pruitt of Pierce City, MO and Charles (Lenore) Pruitt of Joplin, MO; and many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will miss him so much.

Mr. Clutts was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Clutts; two brothers, Rick and Denny Clutts; and a sister-in-law, Laura Marsh.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Thursday, May 19, 2022 beginning at 4:00 PM with Rev. Danny Sluder officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.

Memorials may be made in Steven's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
