(From Ferry Funeral Home) Dennis LeRoy Ford, 53, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at his home in rural Sheldon, MO. Dennis was born June 18, 1968 in Nevada, MO to Walter D. and Mary F. (Scholes) Ford.
He married Beverly Lutes on May 23, 1992 and to this union two children were born.
Dennis was raised in Sheldon and graduated from Sheldon High School in 1987. Following high school, he worked at Thorco in Lamar, Murphy’s, and at Leggett & Platt in Carthage until his retirement. Dennis enjoyed raising cattle on the family farm, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include one son, Dustin Ford (Stephanie), Lamar; one daughter, Camie Ford, Nevada; three stepchildren, Kayla Lutes, Lamar, Michael Martin, El Dorado Springs, and Steven Wheeler, Nevada; three grandchildren, Daxton, Denver, and Claire; and two brothers, Dwayne Ford, and Darrell Ford, both of Sheldon. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
