(From Simpson Funeral Home)With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Narotambhai Morarbhai Patel, who left us on January 1, 2024. Born on January 7, 1937, in Asta, Gujarat, India, Narotambhai spent his early years immersed in the vibrant culture of his native town. He later moved to Joplin, Missouri, where he resided for 8 fruitful years before his departure.
A dedicated and hardworking farmer by profession, Narotambhai was a man of integrity who took pride in his work in the agricultural sector until his retirement in 2000.
Narotambhai was a devoted husband to his wife, Shantiben Narotambhai, and a loving father to his son, Kiran Patel, along with a multitude of family and friends. His life was a living testament of the verse from the Bhagavad Gita, "Perform your obligatory duty, because action is indeed better than inaction."
He was a man of action, who believed in the dignity of labor and the joy of fulfillment derived from meaningful work. He was preceded in death by his father, Morarbhai Trikambhai, and his mother, Bhikhiben Morarbhai.
A prayer service will be held in honor of Narotambhai on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 5:00 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. This will be followed by a funeral service on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the same venue.
