(From Parker Mortuary)William Ronald 'Ron' Chambers, 83, of Joplin, departed this life on Saturday December 30, 2023 after a long illness. Ron was born on December 28, 1940 in Sarcoxie, MO to the late Alonzo W. and Leila E. (Carr) Chambers.
Ron graduated from Carthage High School in 1958. Ron served four years in the Air Force and after many years of hard work at Empire and Farmers' Chemical, He retired in 1999.
He married Corda Elizabeth Cash, January 12, 1973 in Joplin. She preceded him in death in 2012. Ron loved to read, swim, travel, listen to music, drink coke, watch game shows, and spend time with his family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Corda, his sister, Dee, his two stepsons Danny and Mark, and his niece, Rhonda.

Survivors include his granddaughter Brandy and husband Jake of Joplin, his granddaughter Maelee of Galena, Kansas, two great grandsons Bradyn and Korbin, nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 6 at Joplin Heights Baptist Church.
