Ava Rose Daniels, age 85, of Pineville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Freeman Hospital, Neosho, Missouri.
She was born September 12, 1930 in Rocky Comfort, Missouri the daughter of Roy and Maude (Long) Edmonds. On December 29, 1951 in Bentonville, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Oran Dale “Red” Daniels who preceded her in death on September 17, 1984. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Nancy Rose Daniels Myers and three brothers, John Henry Edmonds, Billie Edmonds and Norman Edmonds.
Surviving are one daughter, Karen Lynn Moran of Joplin, Missouri; two sisters, Lela Mae Cook of Fairview, Missouri and Mary Faye DePriest of Anderson, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Pauline Edmonds of Neosho, Missouri; four grandchildren, Rhonda, Somer, Christopher and Andrew and three great grandchildren, Cheyane, Roper and Ali and several nieces and nephews.
Ava graduated from high school at Stella, Missouri. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the farm and milking cows. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Widow To Widows group at Neosho and on the Board of the Stella Senior Center. Some of her favorite pastimes were dancing and embroidering.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Roger Morey will conduct the services. Burial will be in Dice Cemetery, Fairview.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
