Peggy Jean Wilson, age 88, of Joplin, passed away in her sleep on Sunday August 7, 2016, at Carthage Health & Rehab Center, following an illness.
Peggy was born on May 28, 1928 in St. louis, Mo., the daughter of the late Ted and Vivian (Mikesell) Wilson. She graduated from high school and attended two years of college. Peggy worked as a babysitter and she loved being around children. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and when she was able to go she truly enjoyed it.
She is survived by her nephew, Gary Wilson and wife Susie, Joplin; and her nieces, Jackie Gaskill, Joplin, and Gay Wells and husband Steve, Riverton, Ks.; and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jarel Burnside will officiate. Friends may call during regular visiting hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
