Dale L. Walker, age 72, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 4:52 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Mercy Hospital Joplin following a short illness. Dale was born February 27, 1944 in Moberly, Mo. He spent most of his life in the Moberly-Columbia area. He moved to Joplin three years ago from Freistatt, Mo. Dale worked as a Carpenter in Commercial Construction. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Columbia, Mo. American Legion.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Decker and husband Dan, Neosho, Mo., one son, Cody Walker and wife Rachael, Joplin, five sisters, Sharon Campbell, Lana Dill, and Judy Cornell, all of Mt. Vernon, Mo., Paula Taylor, Miller, Mo., and Kathi Thornhill, Aspen, Co., four brothers, Rodney Enochs, James Enochs, and Tracy Enochs, all of Mt. Vernon, Mo., and Jack Walker, Jefferson City, Mo., and nine grandchildren;, Bethany Sutherlin and husband Zane, Landon Decker, Joseph Decker, Kaden Decker, Logan Decker, Malea Decker, Halle Walker, Jayce Walker, and Kenna Walker. Dale was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Franklin, and Jacqueline De Haven, and a brother, Steven Walker.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield, Mo. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory of Joplin, Mo.
