Betty Lou Sagehorn Peterson, age 86, of Lamar, Missouri passed Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Truman Healthcare Center.
Betty was born March 10, 1930 in Kenoma, Missouri to Albert Louis Arft and Dorothy Elizabeth (Cook) Arft. She was a graduate of Lamar High School and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. On December 31, 1950, she married Marvin Sagehorn and together they had three sons. Mr. Sagehorn passed February 14, 1994. She married Curtis Peterson in 1988 and he passed in 2011. Betty worked at the Lamar Clinic before going to work in Springfield for the American Red Cross. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, as well as Easter Star, and enjoyed pontoon boating at Stockton Lake.
Survivors include three sons, Kurt and his wife Alice Sagehorn, Pittsburg, Kansas, Brant and his wife Dixie Sagehorn, Kimberling City, Missouri, and Kail Sagehorn, Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kip and his wife Holly Sagehorn, Pittsburg, Kansas and Kort and his wife Jamie Sagehorn, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and two great-grandchildren, Kearn and Alden Sagehorn.
The family will receive friends 3:00 to 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Daniel Funeral Home. At 4:00 pm, Rev. Galen Friedrichs will offer a closing comital and prayer.
