Kelly Denise Grassi, age 47, Joplin, passed away at 3:48 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness.
Kelly was born November 16, 1968 in Carthage, Missouri to the late Barry Cantu and Mildred Givens Cantu and had lived in the area all of her life.
She was a 1987 graduate of Joplin High School and worked as a secretary. Kelly was a blessing to her family and friends and would do anything within her means for them.
Survivors include two children, Christopher Sean and Chelsea Rae; her mother and step father, Mildred and Ron Hornbeck, Carthage; a sister, Tammy Hale and husband, Todd, Joplin; a brother, Kael Cantu, Joplin; father, Barry Cantu, Kansas; five grandchildren, Jayson, Landon, Lindsay, Natalie, Adalyn; one niece; five nephews; four great nieces and two great nephews.
Services are planned for Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
