Phyllis Joy Harpole, age 75, Carterville, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Phyllis was born December 25, 1940 in Joplin, daughter of the late Asa McMullen and Ella May Harrington McMullen. She graduated from Joplin High School, and worked for Jane Chinn Hospital, Oak Hill Hospital, and Freeman East Hospital with Patient Accounts. She was a member of Carterville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, David Hartley and wife Lisa of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Michael Harpole of Jenks, Oklahoma; brother, Guy McMullen and wife Beverly of Carterville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Following Phyllis' wishes, private family services will be held at Saginaw Cemetery by Parker Mortuary.
